Novo is also taking legal action against compounders, telling Hunterbrook it has filed 63 lawsuits nationwide, across 19 states, against medical spas, weight-loss clinics and compounding pharmacies engaging in unlawful marketing and sales of compounded drugs claiming to contain semaglutide. The company said it will continue to pursue legal recourse against other entities engaged in similar conduct.
